Who we are
Scaleiko ("we", "us") books sales calls with online store owners for e-commerce agencies and freelancers. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy at any time at hello@scaleiko.com.
Information you send us
When you use the "Book 3 pilot calls" form we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your agency name or website;
- the services you sell and the description of your ideal store;
- the date and time you sent the form, and the country your connection came from, as reported by our hosting provider.
If you email us, we keep the emails and the details in them.
We use this information to reply to you, agree your criteria, run the pilot and any later work, and send invoices. Our lawful basis is that this is needed to take steps you've asked for before entering a contract, and then to perform that contract. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
Store owners and decision-makers we contact
To book calls for our clients, we contact owners and marketing decision-makers of online stores. For this we use business contact details the store publishes itself, the person's name and role where it's public, and information visible on the store's public homepage, such as which email platform it uses.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: offering a relevant business conversation to a business that may benefit from it. Every message we send says who we are and lets you opt out. If you reply asking us to stop, we stop and keep only what we need to make sure we don't contact you again.
If a call is booked, we share your name, role, store and the agreed time with the client you'll be speaking to.
Who we share information with
- Hosting and storage: this website and the form submissions are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes data on our behalf.
- Email: our email provider processes the messages we send and receive.
- Clients: as described above, when a call is booked.
- Where the law requires it: for example to tax authorities or in response to a valid legal request.
We don't sell personal information. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law allows, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Pilot form requests that don't lead to work: up to 12 months after we last heard from you, then deleted.
- Client records and invoices: for as long as we work together, then 6 years for accounting and tax purposes.
- Contact details of store owners and decision-makers: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless a call or conversation is ongoing. Opt-out records are kept for as long as we need them to honour the request.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and doesn't load third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own site. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to limit it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email hello@scaleiko.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
